TIn 2012 Reform Support Unit-Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh announced SAT project for Sindh Province to evaluate performance of students studying in public sector schools in Class V and VIII. Sukkur IBA applied to get this project and after a competitive bidding process, the project was attained by Sukkur IBA. The aim of the project is to serve following main purposes:
1. Knowing students’ achievement of grade V & VIII
2. Linking educational reforms to output/outcome rather than input
3. Informing parents, educational administration, civil society and government about the status of education in the province
Under the supervision of Department of Education, Sukkur IBA has successfully completed four rounds of SAT with the help of Reform Support Unit and has developed its E-assessment system and trained 2,400 field staff invigilators and 130 town coordinators in entire Sindh.
